Registration for the 2023-2024 School Year is now open

Please use the information below to determine if you need to register your child as a New Student or a Returning Student.

Note please register using a desktop computer, laptop or Chromebook, as using phones is not ideal as it can create difficulties when registering.

New Student Registration: 

The New Student registration process should be used if:

  1. Your student has never attended any RRPS school, or

  2. Your student did not attend any RRPS school in the 2022-2023 school year, or

  3. Your student attended an RRPS school in 2022-2023, but did not end the school year with RRPS

Before you start: 

Make sure you gather information about your doctor, insurance, student health history, and emergency contact addresses and phone numbers. You will need this information during registration.

Step 1:  (Click here to download the New Student Registration Instructions). After you review the instructions, you can continue down the page and click on the "New Student Enrollment" box.. This will take you to "InfoSnap"--the first step in the process.

Returning Student Registration:

Returning Student registration process should be used if:

  1. Your child attended a school within Rio Rancho Public Schools during the 2022-23 school year, or

  2. The parent/guardian has an active PowerSchool Parent Account.  If you are enrolling a returning student and do not have a PowerSchool Parent Account, click here to learn how to create one. (You will need to scroll down the page past the InfoSnap information.)

Step 1: To register a returning student who attended an RRPS school last year, log into your PowerSchool Parent account and click on the left menu “Returning Student Registration 2023-2024” link in the left Navigation menu.

If you do not have a PowerSchool Parent account, you must create one. Visit our Parent Accounts page and follow the instructions under “PowerSchool” to create your account.  You’ll then receive notice when your account has been activated and you can click on “InfoSnap Student Registration” to enroll your student.

Please note: Middle/High School Parents: You will be notified if you need to visit your student(s) school in late July / early August to complete your registration process – but if you’ve pre-registered/enrolled online, the process at the school will go much more quickly!
