Elementary Band & Orchestra Programs

RRPS is proud to be one of the only school districts in New Mexico to offer band and orchestra at the elementary level, and it’s an opportunity you shouldn’t pass up!  Your student will learn to play an instrument, make new friends, learn to work with others, and get a head start to hit the ground running in their middle school band and orchestra programs!

Band and Orchestra Registration Link and Payment

  • If your child has completed the instrument selection process with their band/orchestra director, then it's time to register them for the program and pay the one-time, non-refundable fee.

  • If your child plays violin, viola, or cello, make sure to register them for ORCHESTRA

  • If your child plays flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, or percussion make sure to register them for BAND

  • There is an $80 fee for all students that covers a book, supplies, and clinician costs. This fee is non-refundable.

  • District-owned instrument rentals are available for families who have significant financial need. If your family falls into this category, you may apply for a district instrument at the bottom of the registration form, and you must do this no later than September 7th, 2023. Please do not request a district-owned instrument if this does not apply to your family.

  • The registration window closes at midnight on September 12th, 2023. If your child is not registered and fees are not paid by that time, your child will not be allowed to participate in the program this year.

Online registration will open on Friday, September 1st and close on September 12th. The registration/payment link will be posted on this page.

Registration will be open from September 1st - September 12th, and your teacher will send you the link. Students must be registered and fees must be paid by September 12th for students to participate in the program.
