RRHS Crimson Awards

RRHS Academic Top 25 Class of 2018Each year, Rio Rancho High School's academic stars are recognized at the school's annual Crimson Dinner.  The event takes its name from the crimson honor cord worn by the 25 academically highest-ranked students during graduation ceremonies.

At the dinner, each honoree is asked to invite and recognize a teacher who has played a special role in his or her success.  Many students also celebrate family, friends, and additional teachers during their short speeches.  The speeches are an opportunity for the honored teachers to hear firsthand how they make a difference in students' lives.   

The honorees include Class of 2018 Valedictorian Kristin Strosnider (left) and Salutatorian Melissa Pinson (right), along with 23 other scholars; the group's average GPA is 4.13:
