Inclement
Weather Procedures
The
decision to implement an abbreviated day schedule requires
the coordinated efforts of many people. Dr. Cleveland, Kim
Vesely, Helweg & Farmer, Department of Public Safety, and
Theresa Saiz will work on gathering information regarding
weather and road conditions in order to determine the ability
for our school buses to transport students to school safely.
Dr. Cleveland will make the final decision to implement
an abbreviated day schedule or cancellation of school. Click
here to view other weather information online!
The abbreviated day schedule is a shortened school day,
which begins two hours later than the regular schedule but
ends at the regular time.
While schools may have different "bell schedules," most
schools on an abbreviated day schedule will utilize the
following instructional times:
|
Preschool Programs |
NO
morning classes. Afternoon classes on a regular schedule. |
|
| Elementary |
11:00 am

**If an abbreviated day is called on a Wednesday, the
Elementary School dismissal time will be a "regular"
bell time (3:50 except MLK and PDS at 3:05).
