Rio Rancho HS DECA members competing at the recent State Career Development Conference brought home three first place awards along with a second and third place finish. Students finishing in the top three are invited to compete at the DECA International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, GA in April. Students qualifying for national competition include:
.: Jessica Pena – 1st Place in Hospitality and Recreation and Marketing Research
.: Aly Mortensen & Victoria Chavez – 1st Place in Fashion Merchandising Promotion Plan
.: John Tapper – 1st Place in Marketing Management Individual Series Event (Comes w/$500 scholarship to ENMU)
.: Patrice Vigil & Olivia Shainin – 2nd Place in Learn & Earn Project
.: Marc Schroeder & Priscilla Perez – 3rd Place in Community Service Project.
Event Finalists include Amanda Vigil in Quick Serve Restaurant Management, Ellisen Kanawite in Accounting Services and Olivia Shainin in Marketing Management.
