Meet Our Head Coach

Coach Paul Kohman

Paul Kohman has been the varsity softball coach since the inception of Rio Rancho High School in 1998.

He is joined by Varsity Assistant, Dan Elliott, who has also been with the program since it's birth. 

Together, these two men have overseen the growth of the program to include feeder programs at each of Rio Rancho's three middle schools, two (2) eighth grade teams at Rio Rancho Mid-High, and sub-varsity "C", and JV teams complimenting the varsity program. Additionally, their efforts coupled with those of their athletes, and their parents and boosters, have also yielded a premier facility in which to compete for, and successfully defend, the many district championships and state final four appearances.

Rio Rancho Softball continues to be a force to be reckoned with.

Earning six successive District Championship titles beginning in 1999, these athletes have made final four appearances in the state championship tournament from 2000 through 2003, eventually earning the title of New Mexico AAAAA State Champions in 2003.
