Meet Our Head Coach: Bob McIntyre

Coach Bob McIntyre enters his eleventh season as RAMS head coach. He has a career record of 366-181 and his coahing record at RRHS is 212-82.

Selected three times as the Head Coach of the East vs. West All Star game and twice as the Head Coach of the North-South All Star game, McIntyre’s first head-coaching position was at Moriarty High School.

In 1997, after winning the Class AAAA state championship game as the Head Coach of the Pintos, McIntyre became the women’s coach at Rio Rancho High School in time for its first season (1997). He was 154-92 with the Pintos, and has led the Class 5A Rams to 175 victories and just 64 losses in his nine seasons at RRHS.  Under McIntyre’s tutelage, the Lady Rams have twice been District 1-5A runner-up, and are five time District 1-5A Champions earning this title each of the past three consecutive seasons.

Coach McIntyre graduated from St. Pius X High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  He attended the University of New Mexico earning a B.S. degree in Physical Education and an M.S. degree in Sports Administration.  Married to Melissa, the McIntyre’s have one daughter, Sarah.
