CNM Dual Credit Course Opportunity This Summer
Students interested in enrolling in dual credit classes with CNM this summer need to get admitted to CNM NOW.
What is dual enrollment?
College level courses in which a RRHS student can complete and receive both college and RRHS elective
credit. Beginning with the Class of 2010, students must earn credit in a dual credit, AP course, or distance
learning course.
Tuition: CNM waives student tuition for concurrent enrollment classes. The student is responsible for
additional fees, purchase of his/her books/supplies, and transportation.
Credit: 2-4 college credits are equal to 1 ELECTIVE credit at RRHS, 1 CNM credit = .5 elective
credit
Dual enrollment classes are always counted as ELECTIVE credits (can not be taken for a core graduation requirement
credit at RRHS. Dual enrollment course grades are always counted as an elective and never weighted.
Students may take a technology or art course from CNM to meet RRHS fine art or tech credit requirements. Courses
being taken for fine arts or tech credit must be approved by an academy counselor prior to enrollment at CNM.
Who: Any senior, junior or sophomore that meets course enrollment test score requirements.
Books: Student must purchase own books.
Fees: If the course has a fee, the fee must be paid within 24 hrs. of enrolling in the course or the student is
dropped from the course.
How: Dual credit students must apply for admission to CNM, submit a signed signature page to CNM,
complete the “on line orientation” and have ACT or SAT or accuplacer test scores that qualify for the
desired course/s. The accuplacer is a free test that is given at the CNM Westside campus every day M-F
from 8 –3:30.
For additional information: Contact an academy counselor or the RRHS Career Center counselor by
