Way to go Jazz I and Jazz II!
The bands participated February 19th and 20th in the Albuquerque Jazz Festival. Jazz Band II received a rating of II (Excellent) and Jazz Band I earned a I (Superior) rating. In addition, Alex Baker, Ford Carty, Tyler Murray, Gabe Shipley, and Morgan Ching received solo awards, and Gabe Shipley received the Outstanding Musician Award for the entire Festival.
Congratulations ALL RRHS Bands!
All RRHS Bands participated in the NMMEA Central District VI Music Performance Assessment March 5th and 6th. The Concert Band earned an overall performance rating of II (Excellent) and a II in sight-reading. Both the Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony earned an overall performance rating of I (Superior) and a I in sight-reading.

April 20th - Mandatory Band Parent Meeting - all band parents grades 8 - 11 @ 7:00 p.m. @ RRHS
April 22 - 25 Jazz Spring Trip - TBD
May 6th - Spring Concert - 7:00 p.m. - All Bands @ the PAC
May 8th - Band Awards Banquet - 5:30 p.m. @ RRHS
May 10 - 13th - Rookie Camp - all new RRHS Band members 2:45 - 4:15 p.m. @ RRHS
May 14th - Band Enrollment Verification forms are DUE for ALL 2010/2011 band members.
May 17th - Graduation - details tba
May 28th - Memorial Day Parade rehearsal 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. - Marching Band @ RRHS
May 31st - Memorial Day Parade - 10:00 a.m. - Marching Band
Student Fundraising Accounts & Transfers
Students wishing to use funds from their accounts for band fees, trip fees, etc. should fill out a "Request for Transfer" slip, have a parent sign it and drop it in the safe. Jane Murray, Boosters Treasurer, processes the transfers. Those needing to know how much is in their account should contact Mrs. Murray - see contact info at the bottom of this page.
