"The Microsoft software donation I applied for in February. To refresh your memory, in exchange for participating in a pilot program for Microsoft’s new web design software this spring, Microsoft would provide the following:
- Initial enrollment in the Microsoft Developer Network Academic Alliance
- Free membership for 1 year
- Software titles including Visual Studio 2008 Professional, Expression Web and a full MSDN Library subscription
As you know, this membership not only allows us to install this software on our lab computers it also allows us to provide this software to any student enrolled in our computer science classes. The students do not have to remove the software when they finish the class and they are encouraged to continue learning at their own pace.
Since money is the easiest way to communicate the value to our school and our students, I listed the value of this donation for our current students below".
