Welcome to the Rio Rancho High School nformation Technology Department web page. We provide technology and support that helps RRHS staff do their job.

We support:

  • Over 1000 PC's and laptops
  • A fiber optic/ethernet network with connections to every class and office at the high school
  • Approximately 150 Black & White and Color Printers
  • Approximately 135 televisions
  • Over 300 telephones
  • The Public Announcement System
  • Approximately 3,500 network accounts

Most of Business & Entrepreneurship and SciMatics Acadamies have received new computers.

Flat Panel Monitors have replaced the older CRT monitors in the Media Center and in some labs.

Engineering & Design Academy computers and monitors are in the process of being updated using a special grant that was awarded to them.

We are constantly updating computer labs and classrooms with the best technological equipment to aid in the education of our students.

Interesting Facts:

  • We have a 3:1 ratio of students to computers
  • We have 1 GB fiber optic connection to every acadamy which is translated to 100 MB in the classrooms
  • We have laptops and other equipement available to staff for checkout
