Assistant Athletic Trainer

Vanessa Cordero, ATC, LAT

Assistant athletic trainer Vanessa Cordero is in her first year at RRHS as a staff member. She teaches Physical Eduaction and is available for all athletes during Sports Fitness. She is a Nationally Certified and Licensed Athletic Trainer.

She is a 2003 graduate of RRHS. She was in the Sports Medicine program with Melissa Loiacono. She completed level I, II, and III. While in high school she competed in the state athletic training challenge in 2002 and 2003. She was a member of the 1st place team in 2002 and 2003. In addition she won 1st place as an individual in 2003.

After high school Miss Cordero attended the University of New Mexico. While there she worked with women's soccer, men's & women's tennis, football, track and field and did an internship at Sandia High School. She also has worked with the United States Tennis Association providing athletic training services at regional championship tournaments. She graduated in 2007 with a BS in Athletic Training.
