Objective: Students will learn America's history. They will review the 13 colonies, study the American Revolutionary War, the U. S. Constitution, the Westward Expansion, the Civil War through to the Reconstruction.
Students will work on reading and writing, and oral skills through working with their history text, historical novels, and hearings based in the Constitutional Unit Study of the Curriculum.
Oral History Report is due March 1- Students are to complete a research project by drafting a list of questions and conducting an interview of the oldest person available to them in their family. After the interview, the student will reflect and write a paper on the interview...how their lives compare to that of the person interviewed. The assignment has been handed out and the sample questions and quidelines are included. Have fun!
