New Student Information System!!!

Rio Rancho Public Schools will be using a new student information system, PowerSchool, starting this fall.

PowerSchool is a web-based system that will contain all of our student information including attendance, scheduling, grading, emergency information, parent/guardian information and health records. 

ParentConnect will be discontinued as of 6/9/2009.  Parents of middle and high schools will receive more information regarding the implementation of the replacement of ParentConnect by late Fall 2009.  

We are excited to launch this new system and ask for your patience while we make all the necessary adjustments!

 

Cheerleading/Dance at ERMS

Open Clinics will be held on Monday August 17th from 3:15-5:30 and Wednesday August 19th from 2:30-5:30.  There will be a parent meeting directly following the clinic on August 19th.

On April 21st, Students were given Pre-registration cards, Emergency Cards and Registration cards during assemblies for parents to complete, sign and return by April 22.  If parents have any questions, please contact Bonnie Strobel at 892-6630, ext. 340.

Further Information on Registration

 

Upcoming dates to remember: 

• July 27th – 30th - Registration for all NEW incoming students.  (Students who are not currently enrolled at Eagle Ridge).  All new students will need to bring the following, original state birth certificate; shot records, proof of residency i.e. current PNM bill, water bill, purchase or lease agreement, and any current IEP information (if applicable).

 

• August 3rd – All returning students with the last name starting A-L will need to bring proof of residency i.e. current PNM bill, water bill, purchase or lease agreement.  Hours will be 9:00-12:00 p.m.

 

• August 4th – All returning students with the last name starting M-Z will need to bring proof of residency i.e. current PNM bill, water bill, purchase or lease agreement.  Hours will be 9:00-12:00 p.m.

 

• On August 3 & 4th all students will receive their agendas, class schedules, bus information, etc.

Any student missing these dates should come to Eagle Ridge after August 5th to complete registration.

Eagle Ridge Middle School is proud to announce that we will expand our AVID program for the 2009/2010 school year. The program will now include two eighth grade AVID classes as well as hopefully add at least one 7th grade class. Team 7C has enjoyed the unique opportunity to host Eagle Ridge's first AVID class. AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination. AVID students engage in team-building activities, master higher-order questioning, and assist one another in concept attainment. These driven students receive targeted instruction in skills and strategies needed for college success. They attend a daily AVID class, where they learn organization and study skills, have time with specially trained tutors and guest speakers, and participate in field trips.
