March 1-5, 2010
Target: The student will be able to determine how the use of literary devices such as personification, metaphor, simile, and alliteration convey the author’s intent AND use figurative language and varying speech patterns to convey meaning.
Measure: 100% of students will score a proficient score (70% or better) on a figurative language common formative assessment on March 3, 2010.
