ERMS Orchestras

ERMS has over 80 students enrolled in the orchestra program this 2010-2011 school year!! All students will begin making music Monday, August 16th.  Beginners will explore violin, viola, cello, and bass this week and will not need to make a final decision about what to play until Monday, August 23rd.

The $10 class fee will cover the cost of a method book/sheet music and a binder for students of all levels.  Please turn in class fees and information sheets ASAP so our students can focus on making beautiful music:)

If you need to borrow a school instrument, please be patient.  With so many students, it will take a couple of weeks to complete the process.  I have 25 instruments available for student use and many more requests.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

A full rehearsal/performance schedule for the year will be released in time for Curriculum night, Thursday, September 2nd.  A hard copy of the schedule will be given to all students.  A copy of this schedule will also be posted on this site.  All parents/guardians will need to sign a letter verifying the receipt of this information.

If you have any questions/concerns about music choices this school year, please let me know ASAP.  I can arrange alternate assignments if necessary (see the handbook for details).
