Homeroom Challenges:
We use homeroom as a way to distibute important information to students. As an incentive to do well in school and bring back appropriate information from home, we have 'homeroom challenges'. Each homeroom fights for the right to house the honored '7B Spirit Staff.
Mr. Christopherson's homeroom won the first challenge of the highest percentage of students who returned all paperwork signed by certain date. the latest challenge was won by Ms. Avila's homeroom who had the lowest percentage of studets who had to be reminded that we need to be quiet in the halls during passing periods.

**For the remainder of the year, team 7B will be 'holding true' to our original late work policy which states: Each student has one week to turn in any "late work" for 50% from the original due date. All other work will be a zero. A student who is absent, gets the same number of days they missed to make up the assignment (while they are keeping up with the 'regular'class load.)
"Late work" is defined as a student who was present for the instruction, received the assignment, and failed to turn in the work on the required due date. **This is to help prepare them for the reality of 8th grade where late work is not accepted at all.
We are still sending Progress Reports home every two weeks. Starting (3/3/10). These will be sent home every other week and should be signed by the parent and returned the very next day. These will show you not only how your child is doing in our class(es), but will show WHAT they are or are not doing as far as classwork is concerned.
--This main page of our team's website will provide you (parents and students are welcome)with upcoming events, links to each of our e-mails (which is the easiest way to reach any of us by the way), links to each of our classes where you can find information specific to that class, and most importantly-a link to our teams calendar. This calendar will provide parents and students a syllabus for each of the four content areas, as well as attachments of handouts for the week (when available), extra credit possibilities, and some times we might even put random answers to an approaching assignment.
