Come spend an evening walking in your student's shoes! You can meet their teachers, take a tour of the school and get an idea of what it's like to be an Eagle! We look forward to seeing you there!
Middle School Survival...
Some ideas to help your student survive middle school and come out a shining success.....
- Eat well and get enough sleep
- Make time and space for homework -"I had football/dance practice" is not an excuse for not getting your homework done - SCHOOL COMES FIRST, plan time
- Do a nightly backpack check - "You're not done with your homework until its in your backpack, ready to go back to school!"
- Check teacher websites for classwork and homework - updated weekly!
- Read together
- Keep the doors of communiation open!
Powerschool
Wouldn't it be great if there were a way to see your student's grades from home? Wouldn't it be great if there were a way to see if your student is turning in their homework and completing their assignments on time? Wouldn't it be great if there was a way to know how your student is doing beyond just asking, "How was your day at school?" Well there is!
Powerschool is an online program that allows parents and guardians to see their student's grades and attendance for every assignment, in every class, updated live every day! All you need is internet access and a password. Passwords can be obtained IN PERSON ONLY at Student Services, M-F, 8am-3:30pm. Students cannot pick up passwords for their parents, so come on over and start connecting!
