RRPS is in the process of opening a new high school. The projected date for opening is tentatively set for August of 2009. This page is dedicated to bringing you the latest news, pictures, and information about our next (latest) high school as it is being developed.

We are excited about the opening of V. Sue Cleveland High School.

We have received several inquiries about the projected timeline for the acceptance of applications for employment. We anticipate the hiring process to begin sometime in the summer of 2008. It is important to note that the actual start dates for all jobs will execute in July / August of 2009. We encourage everyone to complete an application and look forward to sharing our vision for V. Sue Cleveland High School with you.

On May 10, Rio Rancho’s latest high school took a big step towards becoming reality. About 200 people, including a stageful of dignitaries, attended the formal groundbreaking ceremony for the new school. Students from Mountain View, Vista Grande, and other schools did the spade work assisted by board members, legislators, business leaders, city officials, school and district staff, and other guests.

District High School Boundaries:

The RRPS School Board announced their decision about boundaries for the 2 high schools. This decision defines where students who live in different parts of the city will attend high school.  Click here for specific information about the boundaries....

The official school colors are:

• Electric Blue
• Silver
• Black & White (trim)
