The Sandia Vista Elementary Parent-Teacher Organization

We are looking for volunteers to help out with planning and with various activities—even if you only have an hour or two to give, we have a job for you. Together we can make Sandia Vista a great place for our children!

 

Our SVE P.T.O. was formed in April 2008 to help the school get off to a great start. We hope that you will join us – every member counts!
Our official purposes are:
• To carry out activities to benefit the Sandia Vista Elementary School community.
• To foster a sense of support, pride, and enthusiasm within the Sandia Vista community.
• To serve as a liaison for school/community relations.
• To enhance our children’s educational environment through fundraising and family activities.
We plan to further these purposes by raising funds to support the school financially, with special events, and by providing volunteers for school programs. Especially this year, when the RRPS district budget is very tight, it is important for our school to have an outside source of support so that our children can enjoy programs that may not be available otherwise.
One of the first fundraisers is the membership drive, which will begin at registration this fall. For only $5.00 per person, you can help the Sandia Vista students and teachers and have a say in which programs the PTO sponsors. Because we are a PTO, not a PTA, all membership dues stay at Sandia Vista.
