M. Cordova Elementary
Cordova Elementary School, built in 2005, is the newest school in Rio Rancho. It was named in honor of Maggie M. Cordova, former RRPS Special Education Director.
The school currently serves over 700 students. The facility is an award-winning building and the staff is exemplary. Our school is a PLC (Professional Learning Community). We believe in setting educational goals that the community, parents, children, and school staff can work on achieving together. Come volunteer and make a difference!

Summer Office Hours
The front office is open 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday.
We will be closed June 7th through July 20th.
Registration for New Students will be July 29th, 30th, and 31st, 2:00 - 6:00 pm.

| August 4 | PTO Board Meeting, 4:30 pm |
| August 7 | New staff orientation |
| August 8 | All staff return to work |
| August 11 | Ice Cream Social, 5:30 - 7:00 pm Meet your child's teacher and sign-up for testing time. |
| August 13-15 | Testing Dates for Students in Grades 1-5 |
| August 18 | First Day of School |
Student Absences
If your child will not be attending school, please remember to call the office, by 9 am. Leave the child's name, teacher and the reason for the absence. The attendance line is 994-0229 ext 1.
