2008/2009 Fourth Grade Supply List

- $30.00
Supplies will be purchased by your teacher using a one time $30.00 supply fee. This fee will go towards classroom materials as well as any yearly subscriptions purchased (Scholastic Weekly or Time for Kids for example). . Your teacher will also ask for fieldtrip expenses to take care of fees and buses as the year progresses
The supply fee will be collected during DRA testing at the beginning of the year.

Tips for Preparing for Fourth Grade:
4th grade Summer To Do LIST
- Multiplication Tables: We would like EVERY student to have their multiplication tables memorized through 12’s.
- ADDING AND SUBTRACTING: We would like EVERY student to have their addition and subtraction facts memorized. Concentrating on three digit numbers.
- READING LOG: We would like for EVERY student to keep a detailed reading log over the summer. This will consist of the title, the author, the number of pages, and a brief summary (at least three sentences).
Having these few things mastered over the summer can help the students succeed and learn from day one of next year. We will also be working with Accelerated Reader, having a few books already read, will allow the students to be ahead of the game.
