We are pleased to present you with our new student newspaper, The Lion's Roar.  This newspaper was planned and written by a select group of 4th grade students.  We are very proud of their accomplishments, so please take the time to check it out.  Click here to read our December/January edition. 

Help the Children of Haiti

The students in Mrs. Wymer's class have started a drive to raise money for the children in Haiti.  They are collecting coins and all money collected will be donated to Save the Children.  Thank you for your help with this important cause. 

Attention MLK Families

We are experiencing trouble with some outside e-mails.  Our e-mail system is denying our ability to send and receive e-mail from a Yahoo account.  Thank you for yourpatience as our IT department works to resolve this issue. 

Join us for an evening author visit

We are thrilled to have author, Mark Greenberg visit MLK on the evening of February 23rd.  He will be here from 6:30-7:30 to impress you with his poetry.  There will also be opportunities for families to collaborate and create their own writing.  We look forward to seeing you there.

MLK Days at Dairy Queen

Thursday's are MLK days at your local Dairy Queen (on Southern BLVD).  Buy lunch, dinner, or dessert through the end of February and send the receipts in to your child's teacher.  MLK receives 10% of the total receipts collected.  The class with the most receipts will earn a DQ ice cream party!

Eat at Frattelli's Pizza on Wednesday, February 24th

The fine folks at Frattelli's have generously offered to extend "dinner night" and make it an all day event!  Eat at Frattelli's on Wednesday, February 24th and MLK will receive a portion of the proceeds. 

Box Tops and Campbell's Labels

Don't forget to collect Box Tops and Campbell's Labels and send them to school with your child. There will be classroom collection contests help throughout the year. Click here for a complete list of products with Box Tops.
