Welcome to Colinas del Norte Elementary!
We are off for the summer! We will see you in August!
Colinas del Norte Elementary School was built in 1995 and its name is the Spanish derivative of "North Hills." The facility consists of a main building where the office, gym, library, and cafeteria are located, and eight pods which house a total of 30 classrooms and 7 half-classrooms. We also have 25 portable classrooms.
We believe the best learning environment is one in which community, parents, children, and school staff work together. Our vision is STUDENT EXCELLENCE! Click here for information on how to volunteer.
We are so glad that you will be part of our school community for the 2009-2010 school year.
Registration will be Wednesday, July 29 and Thursday, July 30, from 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm, and on Friday, July 31, from 8 am - 12pm. All new and returning students need to come in during this time and fill out registration and emergency cards. If you are a returning student or coming from another Rio Rancho elementary school, please bring proof of residence.
Elementary Assessment Days are August 14-18. Your child's teacher will be calling to introduce themselves and to schedule a time for you to come in during these days. The first day of elementary school is August 19.
We are looking forward to another wonderful school year!
New Student Information System!!!
Rio Rancho Public Schools will be using a new student information system, PowerSchool, starting this fall.
PowerSchool is a web-based system that will contain all of our student information including attendance, scheduling, grading, emergency information, parent/guardian information and health records.
ParentConnect will be discontinued as of 6/9/2009. Parents of middle and high schools will receive more information regarding the implementation of the replacement of ParentConnect by late Fall 2009.
We are excited to launch this new system and ask for your patience while we make all the necessary adjustments!
