2nd graders should be reading a DRA reading level 30 by the end of the school year!

Remember to read every day over the break! We don't want to lose any of our fabulous reading progress!

 

 

Tips for Parents:

Homework:

As a parent, it is critical at this stage in your child’s development to be actively involved in his or her homework program.  This includes providing time, supplies, and a place that is free of distractions where your child can build good study habits, organizational skills, and responsibility.

Second graders will have nightly homework which will require approximately 20minutes of work.  Homework is designed to reinforce concepts and skills that are taught in the classroom.  Special projects may also be assigned from time to time. 

 

 

How Can Parents Get Involved?

We are requesting parents to be involved in creating the PTO (parent/teacher organization) at Cielo Azul.  Please watch for information in the Raven Reporter regarding PTO meetings and events.

What Will Our Children Be Learning in Second Grade?
