We are pleased to present to the community one of Rio Rancho's newest schools, Cielo Azul ( which means "Blue Sky" ). Cielo Azul rests at the corner of King Blvd. and Wilpett Road in the Northwest area of Rio Rancho, NM. The name "Blue Sky" clearly represents what we'll see over our school every day! We are so proud of our beautiful, new building, where ravens will...SOAR!

New Student Information System!!!

Rio Rancho Public Schools will be using a new student information system, PowerSchool, starting this fall.

PowerSchool is a web-based system that will contain all of our student information including attendance, scheduling, grading, emergency information, parent/guardian information and health records. 

ParentConnect will be discontinued as of 6/9/2009.  Parents of middle and high schools will receive more information regarding the implementation of the replacement of ParentConnect by late Fall 2009.  

We are excited to launch this new system and ask for your patience while we make all the necessary adjustments!

BOX TOP NEWS

We had a great response from all of our families from Cielo Azul for the month of September with our box tops collection!  Can you believe we collected over $500.00 in box tops?  Every box top that is cut off those products are worth 10 cents!  That’s a lot for a simple task, and our families pulled it off.  We are raising money for our school to add to the beautiful playgrounds that we have with shade structures for the KIDS!  Everything that our families can help with will help our school NOW!  Keep it coming, and we will have an update for you monthly!!!!!

Box Top Committee

Smith's Earn & learn: Last year, our school was able to earn $669.04 from this Smith's program. It's easy! Just be sure to visit a Smith's grocery store and ask to be enrolled to support Cielo Azul Elementary.
