Here is what we will be working on for the month of April:    

Math:

• Counting to 110 by 1's
• Read and write numbers to 100
• Skip counting by 2's, 5's, and 10's
• Identifying penny, nickel, dime, and quarter
• Telling time to the half hour and hour
• Adding and Subtracting single digit numbers

Reading and Writing:  

• Recognizing and writing letters: Q, U (U blending -t, -n, -g)
• Recognizing sight words: one, little, are, here (continue to practice: a, my, I, like, we, go, on, to, you, have, do, what, no, look, see, come, for, me)
• Word families: -ut, -un, -ug
• Journal writing- writing complete sentences using the sight words.
• Handwriting

Science:   Physical Science Kit   

• Observe and describe the relative sizes and characteristics of objects.
• Observe that objects are made of different material.
• Observe that different materials have different properties.
• Observe that things move in many different ways.
• Learn about the 5 senses.
