Here is what we are working on in the Months of August and September:
Math:
- Recognizing and writing number 1-10
- Introduction to patterns: What is a pattern, how do I create a pattern?
- Introduction to shapes:circle, square, rectangle, triangle, oval, trapazoid, diamond, octagon and hexagon
- counting up to 110
- counting backwards from 10
Reading and Writing:
- begin journal writing
- listen to stories and retell information
- begin learning phonemic sounds for letters which will later lead to reading.
- We will focus on letters Mm, Ss, Rr, Tt, and Cc.
- We will learn the words a, my and the
Science:
- we will recieve our science kit in October and begin science lessons at that time.

Homework:
Every month your child will have a new homework calendar in their folder. Please pick two activities a week and check them off on the calendar, please also turn in any work that your child has completed by Friday of that week. Your child will also periodically have math homework that will come home
separately from the homework calendar. Please help your child complete this worksheet and send it in by Friday of that week.
