Here is what we are working on in the Month of November:
Math:
- continue writing numbers to 50
- continue reading numbers to 100
- continue estimation
- contine making ad describing patterns
- counting to 100 and beyond
- continue counting by 5's and 10's
- classifying and describing shapes including circle, square, triangle, rectangle, oval, trapazoid, octagon, hexagon and diamond
- creating addition and subtraction number stories
- using games to teach us about addition and subtraction
- continuing to practice recognizing and writing teen numers
Reading and Writing:
- continue journal writing with the goal of forming a sentence
- listen to stories and answering questions about those stories
We will focus on these letters and letter sounds:

Science:
- weather
- seasons
- the sun's energy

Important Information!
- November 12th, picture re-takes
- November 18th, cookie dough from fundraiser will be delivered
- November 17th, school-wide holiday lunch in the cafeteria
- November 23rd, turkey bingo in the cafeteria at 6:00 pm
- November 24th, classroom Thanksgiving lunch in our classroom at 12:00
- November 25th-27th, Thanksgiving break-no school

Our Class Activities:
- We will be having a classroom Thanksgiving lunch on Tuesday, November 24th. We will be asking for donations for side dishes, please watch in your child's folder for our donation requests. We hope all parents will be able to join us for the Thanksgiving lunch at 12:00 in our classroom!

Homework:
Every month your child will have a new homework calendar in their folder. Please pick two activities a week and check them off on the calendar, please also turn in any work that your child has completed by Friday of that week. Your child will also periodically have math homework that will come home
separately from the homework calendar. Please help your child complete this worksheet and send it in by Friday of that week.
