WELCOME to our Fourth Grade Class!
We are so happy to be back at school! As you already know, Mrs. Bonilla and I are team teaching this year. We have done this before and find it is beneficial for the students. I will be teaching Math, Science, Spelling, and Writing to my students and she will be teaching Literacy and Social Studies to them. We both enjoyed meeting with all of you at school. Important Information!
September 2, Thursday: Student fall pictures.
September 6, Monday: NO SCHOOL, Labor Day Holiday.

MATH: We are using the Everyday Math program. Geometry is the first unit. We also will be learning about place value and reviewing addition and subtraction.
SCIENCE: We are using the CHOL science kits. The first unit is called "Investgating Chemistry". The students will be learning the properties of matter, changes to matter can be physical or chemical, and the difference between observations and interpretations. They will be doing some experiments and making a polymer.
Homework:
Please have the students practice their multiplication tables often for accuracy and speed.
Math: every night, Mon.-Thurs.
Spelling: every night practice some of the words listed in their agendas.
Reading: 20 minutes every night.
NOTE: - There will not be homework during Standardized Testing, beginning March 22nd.
