WELCOME to our Fourth Grade Inclusion Class!
We thoroughly enjoyed our Parent/Teacher conferences with all of you and hope you found them helpful. We are very excited to begin the second quarter.
Important Information!
November 18th, Wednesday - 1:30-6:00 Cookie Dough Delivered.
November 20th, Friday - Holiday lunch, regular lunch time.
November 23rd, Monday - Turkey Bingo at 6:00 in the cafeteria.
THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY: November 25th - 27th, Wednesday - Friday.
Class Activities or News:
MATH: We are using the Everyday Math program. We have completed unit I and II and are working now on Unit III: Multiplication, Division, Solving number stories, and Algebra.
READING: We are using the Harcourt Trophies series. Theme two which we are studying now includes a play, a folktale, realistic fiction, and two nonfiction stories.
SCIENCE: We are using the CHOL science kits. Our second one is called Investigating Chemistry. Students will be performing their own experiments and dicovering physical and chemical changes. They will exploe changes in mass and properties of polymers. Ms. Merrek will be teaching this.
SOCIAL STUDIES: We are using the Houghton Mifflin States and Regions Textbook. Mr. Hecht will be teaching this.
Homework:
Please have the students practice their multiplication tables often for accuracy and speed.
Math: every night, Mon.-Thurs.
Spelling: every night, Mon.-Thurs.
Reading: 20 minutes every night.
NOTE: - There will not be homework during Standardized Testing, beginning March 26th.
