What is a “cyber academy?”
The Rio Rancho Cyber Academy is a public school where students are
taught by taking a significant amount of instruction via a computer
and other electronic means. Students will be instructed in the use
of a technology-based program and through instructional support from highly qualified teachers monitoring student progress at home and in the lab setting.
What grade levels are offered?
We offer curriculum for grades 7 through 12. Who is eligible for enrollment?
Enrollment is open to all students living in the Rio Rancho Public School district. How many credits are required for graduation?
Students must complete 24 credits for graduation. How involved do I need to be as a parent?
Parents have online access to student progress at all times and should monitor their student’s progress weekly. If parents have questions concerning their student’s progress, they should contact the student’s Advisor through phone and/or email. Parent Advisory Council: We meet the 3rd Tuesday of every month. Tuesday and Thursday 11:45am to 3:45pm
- Grades 10, 11, and 12
Monday and Wednesday 11:45am to 3:45pm
Is there transportation to the
Rio Rancho Cyber Academy?
Transportation for students living within the Rio Rancho Public School District is provided by Durham School Services. In the event of a problem or concern, Durham School Services may be reached by calling 891-8966. Bus schedules and bus stop locations are determined prior to the beginning of the school year. At the time of registration, students must advise the Registrar of their desire or intention to ride the school bus. Full-time students at Rio Rancho Cyber Academy who live outside the Rio Rancho Public School District must provide their own transportation to RRCA.
