The superintendent may authorize construction change orders which do not exceed the project contingency fund.  Change orders which exceed $15,000 will be submitted to the board of education so that authorization is part of the minutes of the board of education.

If during the course of construction a change order of an emergency nature exceeding the contingency fund is needed the superintendent may authorize the change order.  The superintendent shall then advise the board of education that a change order must to be allowed in order to continue the project.
