Vision:
The Rio Rancho Cyber Academy will be dedicated to providing student-centered service in a professional and compassionate manner utilizing highly trained and committed staff to individualize educational strategies that will empower each student to succeed.
Mission: We believe that every child deserves the highest quality educational opportunities. The Rio Rancho Cyber Academy provides students access to core curriculum and elective courses as well as courses for credit recovery or advanced placement via state-of-the-art technology from its computer lab or from their homes. To this end, we have invested our resources to develop the finest distance learning school in the state, where service and advocacy are our priority every day.
About the School:
Located at the New Mexico Technology Center, the Rio Rancho Cyber Academy
was founded to provide students with highly individualized programs designed
to provide a solid foundation for success in post-secondary education, the
military, or career opportunities. The Cyber Academy will serve a variety
of students, from those needing extra help and remediation to advanced students
desiring to take courses not available in their “home” schools.
Students may enroll for a full-time Cyber Academy program, or take individual courses supplementing their course load at Rio Rancho Mid-High, Rio Rancho HS, or Independence HS via open enrollment. The Cyber Academy is funded by the Rio Rancho Public Schools through the state equalization formula, supplemented by a $475,000 appropriation from the New Mexico Legislature.
Enrollment: Enrollment is by application and interview. For further information, contact Principal Elaine Manicke at 892-7222.
