Moving News: Later this fall (2007), students at Rio Rancho’s Independence HS will have a new home: the old City Hall facility being vacated by the City of Rio Rancho. The City will be completely out of the building around August 23, and the district expects it will take another four to six weeks to complete life and fire safety and other changes necessary for the building to house a school. Until the move is complete, Independence HS students will share space at the Rio Rancho Cyber Academy at 421 Quantum Rd. NE. Cyber Academy students will attend classes in the morning and Independence HS students in the afternoon.
