Rio Rancho Orchestra Camp
June 16-20, 2008
Eagle Ridge Middle School
Two classes will be offered this summer:
- Middle School Orchestra - June 16-19th:
8:00 – 11:00 AM
- Intro to Violin - June 16-19th:
12:00 – 3:00 PM
Both classes will perform a concert at the new Loma Colorado Library at 11:30 AM on Friday, June 20.

Rio Rancho Public Schools Enrichment Through the Arts
June 2 – 6, 2008
Earnest Stapleton Elementary
Students will explore African folklore, literature, music and art during this one-week summer camp. They will sing, dance, play instruments, learn African games, learn drumming and create art from Africa.
The final day will culminate in a performance.

Music, Art Featured at Second Mid-High Fine Arts Festival
Rio Rancho Mid-High School students and teachers are cooking up a feast for the ears and eyes on Saturday, May 3, at the school’s Second Annual Fine Arts Festival. The event will be held in the Rio Rancho High School Performing Arts Center, 301 Loma Colorado NE, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and is open to the public. Admission is free.
The festival features performances from the Mid-High Orchestra, Bands, and dance and choral groups. Drama students will perform a short play and other short works. Art and photography students will display their work in the foyer and hallways. Students from Mid-High food science classes will have snacks for sale.
The performance schedule is as follows.
- 1:00 PM Band 1
- 1:30 PM Chorus 1
- 2:00 PM Drama Play
- 2:30 PM Band 2
- 3:00 PM Orchestra
Monologues, skits, and dance performances will be spaced out between main events throughout the afternoon. Rio Rancho Mid-High School serves students in the 8th and 9th grades from throughout Rio Rancho and prepares students for more advanced fine arts programs and academic success in high school.
